Maruti & Hyundai highest sales growth in November

India's leading car makers posted double-digit sales growth in month of November. Maruti Suzuki India Limited Jumped 17.1 per cent sales growth in the last month compared to November 2008. The company has sold 56,005 units of cars in A2 segment against 34,976 units in the last year. As per Company Statement, sales in the A2 segment including Maruti Swift, Maruti Wagon R, Maruti A-Star, Maruti Alto and Maruti Zen Estilo grew more than 60 per cent over November 2008. Korean carmaker Hyundai posted 93 per cent sales growth to 28,162 cars in November compared to the same month last year.

Hyundai, vice-president(Marketing and Sales) Arvind Sexena, said, “The overall economic scenario has been positive and this has translated in to more steps in the showroom and higher automobile sales as indicated by this month’s figures. We hope that the company will continue to grow on economic track as it will maintain a double digit increase figure which helps the Indian automotive industry. On the other hand, Tata Motors' sales increased 48 per cent to 18,480, while Fiat's grew six times to 1,965 cars sales. Utility vehicle maker, Mahindra and Mahindra, saw sales Jumped double to 15,193 units in the previous year. The company's SUVs major sales came from Mahindra Xylo, Mahindra Bolero, Mahindra Scorpio but Mahindra Logan keep to get muted response. It sold 279 cars in November 2009 compared with 300 cars in the years-ago period.

Hyundai

Honda Siel cars India (HSCI) minimum increased 2 per cent in sales to 5,125 cars. General Motors, the completely-owned supporter of troubled American car maker, company reported that the sales jumped highest at 65.27 per cent to 7,118 cars against 4,307 sold in the same month of previous year. German carmaker Volkswagen will also ready to introduce a new Volkswagen Beetle on 4th Dec,2009 and Volkswagen Polo to be launched in the next year in India.
