Maruti suzuki exports to over 1-lakh units in 2009-10

India's largest manufacturing company, Maruti Suzuki India(MSI) said,its exports are expected to achieve the one-lakh units rating in the current fiscal. The company's policy that small cars exports would be one of the major element for company growth in future. MSI Chairman Mr R C Bhargava said, "Maruti cars are exported to over 100 countries and capacity of exports is possible to cross 1-lakh units within the end of fiscal. Maruti A-star has increased exports in the April to November fiscal, to 91,731 units compared to 70,023 unites in the last financial year.

The company has exported small cars over 50,000 units in the different European countries. Mr Bhargava said form a company, which was started to produce one lakh cars a year, " we have reached out on production rate of 10 lakh cars a year. Company has shared on the Cars and Vans segment over 55 per cent in the market. The company did not have some idle capacity and did not give up any of its employees during the last financial year, when the domestic auto market was going through a drop-off demand. Volkswagen Polo and Chevrolet Beat are also ready to roll out in Indian market.
