Volkswagen's working together with Suzuki on small car in India

The country's two largest auto manufacture companies are planning to introduce a new small car in India. Volkswagen auto together with the new joint venture Suzuki Motors confirmed that they have reached an “understanding to establish a close chronic strategic partnership. Europe's largest car maker has announced its plans to purchase a 19.9($ 2.5billion) per cent interest in Japan's Suzuki Motors. The company declared that its small car will be available in the range of Rs. 2 to 2.5 lakh. According to the statement, made by the chairman of Maruti Suzuki RC Bhargava, the planned small car will make as a converted for the Maruti Alto model and will be comes in the expected price around Rs.2.5 lakh.

Nevertheless, the both companies will be focused on backside production and it will carry their own attitude for the customer, sharing and common buying of elements. Volkswagen Auto has also plans to roll out its new Volkswagen Polo Hatchback models in Indian market by the 2010. Front-end including dealerships and distribution network will stay unmoved from the partnership in the field of Auto Industry.

Suzuki Motots

The companies also make a plan to launch a new small cars and Hybrid models in the upcoming years in India. The confederation between Japan's Suzuki Motors and Europe's auto maker Volkswagen are possible to face competition against Tata Motors diesel models Tata Indica and Tata Indigo. It's known that Maruti Suzuki is 54 per cent owned by the Suzuki and doesn't expect any shock on its activism. Volkswagen has recently launched a two new SUV(sports utility vehicle) models Volkswagen Beetle, Volkswagen Touareg respectively in India.
